Seller’s Terms & Conditions

 

When Selling with Preloved Style and using us as an agent, we endeavour to give you the highest level of service and request you adhere to our Seller’s conditions: 

 

Term:

Sale agreement term of 3 months from the date of items physically arriving at Preloved Style unless agreed within the Sellers Agreement.  Preloved Style acts as an agent and at no point will take ownership of the goods. Preloved Style reserves the right to return any and all items to the owner prior to the expiration of the sales agreement period. After 3 months if items have not sold the onus is on the seller to contact Preloved Style to collect or have shipped back any unsold items.  As Preloved Style relies on a prompt stock turnover anything not collected after 5 months will be sent to charity without further notice to enable us to take more items in.

 

Should an item be discounted the sale of this discounted item will not affect the commission percentage earned by Preloved Style. If you choose to collect an item before 60 days there will be a £10 surcharge / item to pay to cover our costs of photography and upload to the website.

 

Ownership:

 

You, the owner of the item guarantee that you are true and lawful owner of any all items consigned to Preloved Style.  Title does not at any stage pass to Preloved Style and remains with you throughout. You, agree to indemnify and hold harmless Preloved Style for any damages arising from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgements, including legal costs and fees, to the extent caused by or arising out of or relating to any unlawful ownership.   You agree that is for any reason the police suspect your goods to be stolen, we will be expected to pass on any relevant information without informing you.    

 

Authenticity:

 

Preloved Style accepts only authentic designer items. You, as the owner, guarantee the authenticity of all items consigned with Preloved Style.  Any item delivered to Preloved Style and deemed to be counterfeit by Preloved Style or any qualified third party will be destroyed. If you receive payment for an item that is later deemed to be counterfeit you agree to repay the full amount received plus any other loss associated with its sale and return.  Knowingly selling counterfeit good to Preloved Style will result in Preloved Style no longer dealing with you in addition to other actions. 

 

Item Quality:

 

You must disclose to Preloved Style, prior to the acceptance of the item any flaws, damage, and/or alterations to the item, regardless of size or appearance.  All consigned items must be delivered as disclosed and must be of the highest quality, cleaned and “ready to sell”. In cases where damage or alterations are not disclosed, Preloved Style reserves the right to terminate the sales agreement at any time and without notice.  If any cleaning or repair is necessary you will be made aware of any charge prior and will be charged back to you as the owner.

 

Taking in of Items:

 

You can drop or ship your items (tracked, insured and enclosing your details) to our head office.  Please ensure that you have packaged your items well so they are protected and secure whilst in transit. Preloved Style cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to items as a result of poor packaging. All shipments received from outside of the UK will be paid for by you, the owner of the items, and should include the pre-payment of all customs and excise fees (where applicable). Preloved Style will not accept packages where customs and excise fees have not been pre-paid. By choosing to sell your items with Preloved Style you do so at your own risk of loss, damage or theft at our head office, in transport or at an alternative Pop-up location. 

 

If you’re local we can also offer home collections for over 10 items.  You are also welcome to drop off to our Head Office. 

 

Returning of Items:

 

Should any item remain unsold at the end of the agreed term with Preloved Style or if the sales period is terminated by Preloved Style prior to 60 days, the items will be returned to you at your request.  The cost incurred by delivery of sending the items back will be borne by you.  Items not claimed within 21 days after the agreed selling period, without notice, becomes property of Preloved Style. 

 

Payments:

 

Sold items will be paid for to you by bank transfer on the last working day of the month and once the returns period has closed. 

 

Buyer’s Terms & Conditions:

 

All items are preloved unless specifically stated otherwise.  Preloved Style are not affiliated with the brands we sell.

 

Delivery Policy:

 

All orders placed online will be processed and shipped within a reasonable timeframe.  We will require a physical home or business address and do not ship to PO Boxes.  Items will be shipped either Royal Mail Signed For or Royal Mail Special Delivery depending on the value of the item.  Delivery times are estimates only and the buyer is not entitled to a refund of delivery charge if it takes longer to be delivered than estimated. 

 

For international shipments we are not responsible for any applicable duties or taxes which might be payable when it arrives at the destination’s customs or delivery address. 

 

In an effort to avoid fraud we reserve the right to request proof of identification for any order which is being shipped to a different address to the billing one.  Preloved Style reserves the right to request 2 valid form of photo identification and a copy of the original card (front and back) used to make payment.

 

Preloved Style reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for any reason. 

 

Lost Parcels

 

An item is deemed to have arrived at the shipping address in accordance with the tracking number.  Preloved Style cannot be held responsible for items which are lost or stolen once they have arrived at the destined delivery address.  However, Preloved Style will offer our full assistance in any way we can with a claim you make against Royal Mail.  

 

Shipping Insurance:

 

Posted items will be insured to their full value with a maximum value of £2500.  For items that exceed this value, please contact info@prelovedstyle.com

 

Returns Policy:

 

Items made in person or hand delivered are final sales.  Purchases online can be returned within 7 working days.  If you wish to return please contact Preloved Style at returns@prelovedstyle.com to notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order.  Preloved Style will provide a return address and returns slip to pack with your order.  The original shipping charge will not be refunded. 

 

Due to Preloved Style working on consignment basis and not having ownership of any items we are unable to offer a refund on returns.  Preloved Style will provide a credit note for the full value of the item which will be valid for 12 months from date of issue.

 

Online returns must be made within 5 working days of receiving the return address and return slip.  Please send items back tracked and pack securely as Preloved Style cannot be held responsible for loss or damage during transit.  Items must be unworn and undamaged with the original tags intact including any dust bags and/or authenticity cards.  Returns will not be accepted it the DO NOT REMOVE label is no longer attached.  For international returns you are responsible for any customs and excise fees and will be deducted from the credit note.      

 

Counterfeit Policy

 

Preloved Style does not buy or sell counterfeit products.  Trading fake products is illegal. 

 

Errors:

 

As we only have one of each item, occasionally an item can be just before it is sold online we reserve to cancel an unfulfilled online order. We are sincerely sorry for any frustration this may cause and do our best to make sure errors do not occur.

Preloved Style also reserves the right not to fulfil any order that they believe to be fraudulent or if a product is priced incorrectly under the Sales of Goods Act.  Should a price error happen, Preloved Style will offer the item at the correct price or refuse the transaction and with the item from sale until fixed. 

 

Recommended Retail Price

 

Any suggested RRP (recommended retail price) is considered correct at the time the item was listed online by Preloved Style.
